This Mother’s Day showered me with everything I love.
After waking slowly and enjoying a breakfast tea party — hats on, makeup off — I read the beautiful card from my family. Colorful and bright, it made me feel deeply seen and loved.

As the morning unfolded and the sun began to shine, we made our way to a very special brunch spot: Pink Pistachio Cafe, where everything felt delicately curated. From the pink and gold décor lining the walls and tables to the ceiling swing with wings, the space felt truly magical. Like a place made simply for wonder.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were met with such kindness and attention. My two kids couldn’t resist the green and blue special edition drink, Sour Patch Kids — complete with a sugar rim and a single sour patch candy perched on the edge. Steven loved the warmth of cinnamon in the Spanish Latte, while I savored my Campfire Latte. The marshmallows resting gently on top were toasted tableside to a delicious finish.

Next, we shared generous portions of a cherry danish, crispy chicken with seasoned fries, and a flavor-filled chipotle chicken sandwich. Everyone agreed — the food was delicious. Before we left, a box of chocolate-covered strawberries was gifted to us in honor of Mother’s Day, a sweet ending to an already thoughtful experience.

After brunch, we visited Quarry Trails Metro Park. Entering through the Quarry Trails Community offered easy access to the park, and if you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend it. The paved trails made it especially enjoyable with little ones, and the water running through the quarry was truly picturesque.

As we explored along the water’s edge, we discovered a small turtle that Kenton carefully caught. Ruby, gathering every bit of courage she had, held the tiny turtle for the very first time before we gently released it back into its home. We stopped next to admire the waterfall and spent time playing at the park before ending the afternoon at Playa Bowls, soaking in the beauty of the day together.

The wings that give me flight — my family.
They give me courage and strength. They remind me to embrace my power and beauty. To say this Mother’s Day was meaningful would be an understatement. I truly felt seen, valued, and deeply loved.
I would not be the woman I am today without them.
